Privacy Policy
This document explains what information Raavi collects from you, how we use and retain it, when we share it with others, and what rights you have over your data. For technical details on encryption and security, see our Security & Privacy page.
1. Who we are
Raavi is an AI meeting assistant that transcribes, summarizes, and turns your conversations into actionable tasks. In this document, "Raavi", "we", or "the Service" refers to the Raavi platform, and "you" or "user" refers to the person using the Service.
By using Raavi, you agree to this privacy policy. If you do not agree with any part of it, please do not use the Service.
2. What information we collect
- Information you provide. Your mobile phone number to create an account and sign in, and any information you share with us when contacting support.
- Meeting content. The audio recording, transcript, and summary of meetings you record or process with Raavi. This data belongs to you and is always stored encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM with an independent key per account).
- Technical information. Data such as IP address, device and browser type, and event logs, automatically recorded for security, debugging, and improving the Service.
- Google Calendar data. Only if you choose to connect Google Calendar to Raavi from your settings — see section 3.
3. Access to and use of Google Calendar data
Signing in to Raavi is always done with your mobile phone number and a one-time SMS code (OTP); Raavi does not offer "Sign in with Google". A connection to Google is only established when you choose to connect your Google Calendar from Settings → Connections. In that case, we only access the data you have explicitly authorized:
- Google Calendar. Read access to your calendar events, used solely to identify online meetings and to add the Raavi bot to a meeting at the scheduled time. Raavi does not delete or edit your calendar events unless you request it.
- Isolation of Google Workspace data. Raavi requests only read access to Google Calendar. Calendar data is used solely to display the user's upcoming meetings and to retrieve a meeting URL so that, at the user's explicit direction, Raavi's notetaker bot can join that meeting. Calendar data is never included in any prompt, embedding, or payload sent to any AI or ML model. Meeting audio is captured by our bot as a meeting participant and is not obtained through any Google Workspace API.
- Raavi's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Your Google data is never sold and is never used for advertising.
- Your Google data is never used to train any AI model, whether by us or by any third party.
- You can disconnect your Google account at any time from Raavi's settings or from the Google Account permissions page.
4. How we use your information
- Providing the Service. Transcribing, summarizing, and extracting tasks from your meetings.
- Authentication and account security. Signing in with a one-time SMS code (OTP) and protecting your account from unauthorized access.
- Support. Responding to requests and resolving issues you report.
- Improving the Service. Analyzing technical and aggregated data for the stability and quality of the Service — without using your meeting content or Google data to train any model.
Fully self-hosted AI models. Both speech-to-text transcription and summarization are performed by open-weights models that Raavi hosts and operates entirely within its own infrastructure. All inference requests are local; no audio, transcript, summary, or calendar data is ever transmitted to any external AI service, including the original publishers of the models we run. No user data is used to create, train, fine-tune, or improve any AI or ML model.
5. Sharing information with others
We do not sell your personal data or meeting content. Your information is only shared in these limited cases:
- At your request. When you share a meeting with someone else, they only get access to that meeting, not your whole account — and you can revoke access at any time.
- Legal requirement. If we are required to provide information by law or a valid order from a competent authority.
6. Data retention and deletion
- Your meetings stay until you decide otherwise. We have no fixed retention period; meetings remain in your account until you delete them yourself.
- Deletion is immediate and complete. When you delete a meeting, its audio, transcript, and summary are immediately and permanently removed from our systems. Deletion cannot be undone.
- Account deletion. Deleting your account or disconnecting Google revokes the granted access, and related data is erased in accordance with our deletion policy.
7. Data security
Your meeting content is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and an independent key per account, and data in transit is protected via a secure connection (TLS). The full description of our security approach is on the Security & Privacy page.
8. Your rights
- Access and export. You can access your meetings and export them.
- Deletion. You can delete any meeting or your entire account.
- Revoking access. You can revoke the Google connection and any shared access at any time.
9. Children
Raavi is not designed for use by individuals under the legal age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the last update date shown at the bottom. We will notify you of significant changes as appropriate.
